Bin Tags to go next week – Buy bin credit online

To avail  of  South Dublin County Council’s waste collection service, customers must use the advanced credit system from Monday 1^st February. A new computer system on the bin trucks can identify and record a householder’s bin and deduct the cost of the bin lift from their Waste Charges Account automatically.

Customers in South Dublin County have availed of a dual system since October using either bin tags or the new advanced credit system. 1^st February heralds the end of the dual system and the use of bin tags.

The advantage of the new system is customers can buy credit online, up to midnight the night before the collection. The issue of stolen bin tags is a thing of the past and customers can manage their waste more effectively.

Top up your Waste Charges Account using your laser/credit card on our on-line secure payment system, just log on to www.sdcc.ie . You will need your Waste Charges Account Number and your Verification Code. Both of these numbers are on your Waste Charges Card.

Phone 01- 4149000 and purchase credit or check account balance. You will need your Waste Charges Account Number and your Verification Code and your laser/credit card details to purchase bin lift credit.

· Over the Counter Purchase

You will need your Waste Charges Card to purchase bin lift credit for your Waste Charges Account. Drop into a Post Office, Payzone or PostPoint outlet or the Council offices with your card and buy bin lift credit.
