Temporary Closure of
Peamount Road (junction with Nangor Road)
South Dublin County Council hereby gives notice that it has made an order to temporarily close a section of the following road to facilitate works by Clonmel Enterprises Ltd.
The works will include the replacement of existing water drainage and power services, the installation of new public lighting, and a full carriageway upgrade, including the provision of a new footpath.
Road Name: Peamount Road (junction with Nangor Road)
From: Monday 13th July 2026.
To: Monday 24th August 2026.
Time of Closure: 24 hours per day.
Detour Route:

To Newcastle Village (both directions) via Aylmer Road (approx. 3.25 km)
Bus Routes Affected:

Routes 68 and 69N will divert via Aylmer Road.

Route W6 is currently diverted via Loughtown Road due to the ongoing Hazelhatch Road closure. This diversion will remain in place.
A free peak-time shuttle bus service will be provided by Clonmel Enterprises between Greenogue Business Park and Peamount Hospital. Timetables will be displayed at nearby bus stops and outside Peamount Hospital.
